Marina Mercantile takes the old school neighborhood corner market & cafe and updates it with a modern flair and a hint of Europe. Inside you will find gourmet groceries,, ingredients for dinner, and some great (and unique) bottles of wine, You can also join us to have a meal, or linger over a glass of wine, cocktail, or sophisticated non-alcoholic beverage.
We even serve Afternoon Tea!
We are delighted to be a safe community space where friends can meet and new ones can be made.

Brenda Sutherland and Richard Mockler founded Marina Mercantile in 2022, hoping to fill a gap for Des Moines, WA, residents searching for sophisticated food and wine options and a quiet, comfortable place to gather.
Originally supported by opening manager Joey Kline, the team quickly grew to encompass customer-favorite front-of-the-house lead Brennan.
We've added Olivia and Maren to the kitchen production team. Olivia comes to us with years of experience in Seattle kitchens and espresso styling, she makes our amazing soups, hot dishes, and deli salads. Maren is a graduate of the PSSC culinary program and supports our Afternoon Tea menu with scones, sandwiches, and more.
Working the front of house and the kitchen David is new to the PNW. You'll be instant friends with David and he makes a fantastic tuna melt.
